A beam sets out. A target waits. Between them, an empty grid and mirrors to place.
Rayon is a contemplative optical puzzle. You lay down a mirror, you turn it, you watch the light find its way. Nothing is rushing you: no time limit, no lives to wait for, no notification to pull you back.
HOW YOU PLAY
Drag a piece onto the 9 by 13 grid. Tap it: it turns 45°. The beam recalculates in front of you at every move. When all the targets are lit, the level is solved.
• The mirror deflects the light. Seen edge-on, it lets it through.
• The prism splits it in two: one branch carries on, the other heads elsewhere.
• The one-way mirror reflects on its front alone. Its back absorbs the beam.
• The dual-feed target calls for two branches, not one.
• The portal brings the light back out at the far end of the board.
THE THIRD STAR IS EARNED
Every level states its par, the fewest pieces it can be solved with. Lighting the targets is enough to win; lighting them at par is worth three stars. One piece too many leaves you two, anything beyond that leaves one.
That par is not an estimate. A built-in solver proves it, and the game's tests check it again on every run: when Rayon says four pieces, it is proven that no three-piece solution exists. That is what gives the third star its weight, and what keeps a level worth thinking about once it is solved.
88 LEVELS, 5 CHAPTERS
One more mechanic per chapter, never two at once. Light, Prisms, Faces, Convergence, Portals: you start with a single mirror and a single target, and you end with a beam split into branches that cross the board through portals.
NOTHING GETS IN THE WAY
• Unlimited undo and instant reset. A failed attempt costs nothing.
• Everything plays offline. No account, no sign-up. Your progress stays on the device.
• There is nothing to buy inside the game. Three hints are waiting at the start; further ones come from watching a video, if you decide to — and the game can be finished from end to end without watching a single one.
• No advertising is imposed on you: no banner, no screen between two levels, none at launch.
COMFORT AND ACCESSIBILITY
• “Reduce motion” stills the flow of light, and follows the system setting if you have turned it on.
• “Patterned targets” tells targets apart by more than color alone.
• Sound, music and vibration switch off separately.
• The back gesture pauses the game; it never quits out from under you.
The game plays in English, French, German or Spanish. The choice sits in the settings.
Ink-dark background, golden beam, cyan target. A dark screen and a line of light: that is all Rayon needs.
Place mirrors, rotate prisms, reflect the beam until every target lights up.
